5 years ago we lost one of our closest friends, Chasey, and her older sister Scout. When they passed away, we wanted to find a meaningful way to continue their legacy, and Fostering Hope is a cause that holds a deep significance to their family. To honor Chasey and Scout, we decided to revitalize a therapeutic garden for adolescents at Fostering Hope's facility. Following their passing, our class held a lemonade stand sale and raised money to build a garden at the center.

Unfortunately, the facility was sold in 2023, and the foster children lost access to their garden. When we had created the garden, we saw first-hand the therapeutic tool the garden was for children. To help continue access to this resource, Fostering Hope suggested that we make individual gardening kits for children in foster care to take with them as they moved across placements.
